Fulfilling Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III’s directive to review the existing minimum wage rates nationwide, 14 regional wage boards have already issued their respective wage orders granting pay hikes ranging between P30 and P110.
Bello thanked the wage boards for resolving with dispatch the petitions for wage adjustments, adding that minimum wage earners, including domestic workers, are expected to benefit from a series of pay hikes across the regions starting this month and until early next year.
The earliest wage hike of P33 took effect in the National Capital Region on Saturday, June 4, bringing the minimum wage rate to P570 for workers in the non-agriculture sector and P533 for those in the agriculture sector.
In the Cordillera Administrative Region, the P50-P60 pay hikes will be implemented in two tranches. The minimum wage in the region will be P380 effective June 14 and this will further increase to P400 effective January 1, 2023. The salary of Kasambahay will also increase by P500 to P1,500, bringing the new minimum wage to P4,500 across the region.
For workers in the Ilocos Region, meanwhile, the new minimum wage rate will range from P372 to P400. The P60-P90 pay hike will be implemented in two to three tranches, starting June 6. The minimum wage for domestic workers will also climb to P5,000.
In the Cagayan Valley, the new minimum wage of P400-P420 will be implemented in two to three tranches, with the first tranche taking effect on June 8. Kasambahay will also benefit from the P1,000-pay hike, which brings their monthly minimum wage to P5,000.
Workers in Central Luzon are also set to benefit from a P40-wage hike, which will be implemented in two tranches across different sectors. This brings the new minimum wage to P414-P460 in the region, while that in Aurora province will range from P344 to P409.
In Calabarzon, the new minimum wage, which will be implemented in two tranches will range from P390 to P470 in the non-agriculture sector; from P350 to P429 in the agriculture sector; and P350 in retail and service establishments employing not more than 10 workers.
MIMAROPA workers, meanwhile, will benefit from a P35-pay hike starting June 10. This brings the new minimum wage to P329 for establishments with less than 10 workers and P355 for establishments employing 10 or more workers. The wage board also granted an increase of P1,000 to the monthly wage rate of domestic workers, bringing the new minimum wage in the region to P4,500.
In Bicol, the new minimum wage will be P365 across all sectors. The P55-pay hike will be implemented in two tranches–on June 18 and on December 1. Kasambahay will also benefit from the wage increase of P1,000 to P1,500, which brings their monthly wage to P4,000.
In the Visayas, the new minimum wage will range from P410 to P450 for workers in the private sector and P4,500 for domestic workers in Region 6. The pay hikes will take effect on June 5.
In Region 7 the new minimum wage will range from P382 to P435. Kasambahay will also get a P500-pay hike, which brings their monthly minimum wage to P5,500 for those in chartered cities and first-class municipalities and P4,500 for those in other municipalities. The pay hikes will take effect on June 14.
In Mindanao, the new minimum wage will range from 378 to P405 for workers in Region 10. The pay hikes will be implemented in two tranches, with the first tranche of P25 taking effect on June 18 and the second tranche of P15-P22 taking effect on December 16.
The regional wage board also granted a monthly wage increase of P500 for domestic workers bringing the new monthly minimum wage rate in the region to P4,500 for cities and first-class municipalities and P3,500 for other municipalities.
In the Davao Region, meanwhile, a P47-pay hike for workers across all sectors will be implemented in two to three tranches, starting June 19.
After full implementation of the wage tranches, the daily minimum wage rates in the Davao region will be P438 in the agriculture sector, P443 in the non-agriculture sector, and P443 for retail/service establishments employing not more than 10 workers. Meanwhile, the new monthly wage rate for domestic workers in the Davao region is P4,500.
In SOCCSKSARGEN, a P32-wage increase will be implemented in two tranches–one on June 9 and another on September 1. This brings the new minimum wage rate in the region to P368 for the non-agriculture sector and P347 for agriculture/service/retail establishments.
Lastly, in Caraga,?the new daily minimum wage rate of P350 shall take effect in Butuan City and the provinces of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, and Surigao del Sur on June 6; while the wage increase in the provinces of Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte, including Siargao Islands will be implemented in two tranches–one on June 6 and another on September 1. Bilang pagtupad sa direktiba ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na repasuhin ang umiiral na minimum wage rate sa buong bansa, naglabas ang 14 regional wage board ng kani-kanilang wage order na nagbibigay ng dagdag-sahod na nasa pagitan ng P30 at P110.
Pinasalamatan ni Bello ang mga wage board sa agarang pagresolba ng mga petisyon para sa dagdag-sahod, at idinagdag na inaasahang makikinabang ang mga minimum wage earner, kabilang ang mga kasambahay, mula sa serye ng pagtaas ng sahod sa mga rehiyon simula ngayong buwan hanggang sa unang bahagi ng susunod na taon.
Nagkabisa ang pinakaunang dagdag-sahod na P22 sa National Capital Region noong Sabado, Hunyo 4, kung saan naging P570 ang minimum na sahod para sa mga manggagawa sa non-agriculture sector at P533 para sa mga nasa agriculture sector.
Ang P50-P60 dagdag-sahod sa Cordillera Administrative Region ay ipatutupad ng dalawang tranches. Magiging P380 ang minimum na sahod sa rehiyon simula Hunyo 14 at ito ay tataas pa sa P400 simula Enero 1, 2023. Tataas din ang sahod ng mga kasambahay ng mula P500 hanggang P1,500, na magtatakda sa bagong minimum na sahod na P4,500 sa buong rehiyon.
Para sa mga manggagawa sa Ilocos Region, ang bagong minimum wage rate ay mula P372 hanggang P400. Ipatutupad ang P60-P90 dagdag-sahod sa dalawa hanggang tatlong tranches, simula sa Hunyo 6. Tataas din sa P5,000 ang minimum na sahod ng mga kasambahay.

Nakatakda ring makinabang ang mga manggagawa sa Central Luzon sa P40 dagdag-sahod, na ipatutupad sa dalawang tranches sa magkaibang sektor. Ang bagong minimum na sahod sa rehiyon ay P414-P460, habang sa lalawigan ng Aurora ay mula P344 hanggang P409.
Sa Calabarzon, ipatutupad ang bagong minimum na sahod sa dalawang tranches mula P390 hanggang P470 sa non-agriculture sector; mula P350 hanggang P429 sa agriculture sector; at P350 sa mga retail at service establishment na may hindi hihigit sa 10 manggagawa.
Samantala, tatanggapin ng mga manggagawa sa MIMAROPA ang P35 dagdag-sahod simula Hunyo 10. Dahil dito, ang bagong minimum na sahod ay nasa P329 para sa mga establisyimentong mas mababa sa sampung manggagawa at P355 para sa mga establisyimentong may sampu o higit pang manggagawa. Nagbigay din ang wage board ng dagdag na P1,000 sa buwanang sahod ng mga kasambahay, kaya magiging P4,500 ang bagong minimum na sahod sa rehiyon.
Sa Bicol, magiging P365 sa lahat ng sektor ang bagong minimum na sahod. Ipatutupad ang P55 dagdag-sahod sa dalawang tranches–sa Hunyo 18 at sa Disyembre 1. Makikinabang din ang mga kasambahay sa dagdag sahod na P1,000 hanggang P1,500, na kung saan ay magiging P4,000 ang kanilang buwanang sahod.
Sa Visayas, ang bagong minimum na sahod ay mula P410 hanggang P450 para sa mga manggagawa sa pribadong sektor at P4,500 para sa mga kasambahay sa Rehiyon 6. Magkakabisa ang pagtaas ng sahod sa Hunyo 5.
Sa Region 7 ang bagong minimum na sahod ay mula P382 hanggang P435. Makatatanggap din ang kasambahay ng P500 dagdag-sahod, kung saan ang kanilang buwanang minimum na sahod ay nasa P5,500 para sa mga nasa chartered cities at first-class municipality at P4,500 para sa mga nasa ibang munisipalidad. Magkakabisa ang pagtaas ng sahod sa Hunyo 14.
Sa Mindanao, ang bagong minimum na sahod ay mula 378 hanggang P405 para sa mga manggagawa sa Rehiyon 10. Ipatutupad sa dalawang tranches ang pagtaas ng sahod, kung saan ang unang tranche na P25 ay magkakabisa sa Hunyo 18 at ang ikalawang tranche naman na P15-P22 ay magkakabisa sa Disyembre 16.
Nagbigay din ang regional wage board ng buwanang dagdag sahod na P500 para sa mga kasambahay kung saan ang bagong buwanang minimum na sahod sa rehiyon ay P4,500 para sa mga lungsod at first-class municipality at P3,500 para sa iba pang munisipalidad.
Samantala, sa Davao Region, ipapatupad ang P47 dagdag-sahod para sa mga manggagawa sa lahat ng sektor ng dalawa hanggang tatlong tranches, simula Hunyo 19.
Pagkatapos ng buong pagpapatupad ng wage tranches, ang arawang minimum na sahod sa Davao region ay magiging P438 sa agriculture sector, P443 sa non-agriculture sector, at P443 din para sa retail/service establishment na may hindi hihigit sa 10 manggagawa. Samantala, P4,500 naman ang bagong buwanang sahod para sa mga kasambahay sa Davao region.
Sa SOCCSKSARGEN, ipapatupad ang P32 dagdag-sahod ng dalawang tranches–isa sa Hunyo 9 at isa sa Setyembre 1. Dahil dito, ang bagong minimum na sahod sa rehiyon ay P368 para sa non-agriculture sector at P347 naman para sa agriculture/service/ retail establishment.
Panghuli, sa Caraga, ang bagong minimum na arawang sahod na P350 ay magkakabisa sa Butuan City at sa mga lalawigan ng Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, at Surigao del Sur sa Hunyo 6; habang ang dagdag sahod sa mga lalawigan ng Dinagat Islands at Surigao del Norte, kabilang ang Siargao Islands ay ipatutupad sa dalawang tranches–sa Hunyo 6 at sa Setyembre 1.
